When installing a 1955-1962 235/261 CID full pressure engine in place of the original 1954 or earlier 6-cylinder, this one time conversion allows you to put the early style water pump on the later engine. We also offer a shortened shaft water pump for the late 235CID, but this requires that you use a different fan blade and the fan will no longer be in the original position, but 3" lower. By using this adapter with a 1941-54 water pump, the pump and fan are back in the stock location and uses the stock fan blade. It is recommended that you use the harmonic balancer and water pump from your original engine.
Caution: Do not use the 1955-62 balancer since the pulley is larger and will turn the pump too fast.
Kit comes with detailed installation instructions. Installation requires drilling & tapping two holes into the front of the engine using this plate and existing holes as a template for drilling.

This is a 6-Lug Disc Brake Kit for 1947-1959 Chevrolet & GMC 1/2 Ton Trucks, Less Master Cylinder. Bolt pattern: 6 on 5-1/2" centers. The 6-lug disc brake kit contains all youÂ’ll need to put modern discs on your stock 1/2 ton spindles, and uses your stock hub. The 1-1/4" thick, 12" rotor uses a GM full-floating caliper. .
Notes: *Original 15” and 16” drum brake wheels will not work with this disc brake kit; must use "disc brake specific” wheels. Verify fitment prior to installation. On some models (mostly 1947-48), the lower spindle holes will need to be drilled out from 7/16” to 1/2”. If you are using the OE hubs, manufacturer strongly recommends the Roller Bearing Upgrade FS-216K. (It may be possible to clearance some 16” wheels, but we do not recommend modifying due to safety concerns.)
