This is a 12-VOLT Alternator, Internally Regulated, NEGATIVE GROUND. Note: specify positive (GMC) or negative (Chevy) ground when ordering alternators. 55-60 AMP OUTPUT Comes with narrow belt pulley. Available in Chrome - Order CH-7127-12N Price is for exchange only. Add $65.00 If no exchange core is returned. Original generator can be sent in for core exchange. NOTE: This alternator is a one wire alternator, however the belt must be tight enough so that, when trying to turn the alternator fan, you cannot slip it by hand. DO NOT CHECK BELT TENSION BY PUSHING ON THE BELT. In some cases the alternator needs higher RPMs to activate. Once the alternator activates, it will continue to charge at lower RPM.
