This is a Door & Trunk Lock Set for 1955-1957 Chevrolet passenger cars. Set comes with two door locks with U-shaped pawl, trunk lock all keyed alike with Original keys. Special Note: Door locks come with lock pawls. The Pawl is the small bracket which attaches to the end of the door cylinders. The pawl is what actually reaches in and trips the latch for the door to unlock. In 1955-1957 two completely different pawls were installed according to body styles. The U-shaped pawl, which is the most common, and the Flat egg shaped pawl. The higher located body side moldings on some 1956 models forced GM to move the door lock cylinder higher up on the door. This is why many of the 1956 models used the Flat pawl and a different door latch assembly. In 1958-1964 two different styles and lengths of door cylinders were used.
