This Door Window Sash Channel is a nice replacement for the original that may have rusted out. 2-FT. SECTION, .405" (13/32") ID at the narrowest part. This is the piece that holds the glass. You must retain the old brackets to reattach to the new channel.
This is a Universal Window Channel Liner that is 2-5/8" Wide. Sold by the foot, this felt is used to reline window channels that cannot be found as a new item. Clean out the original channel with a wire brush or other tool until clean. Use contact cement on the back side of the felt and inside the channel opening. Wrap the felt around a piece of wood or other material that will just fit into the channel. Push it down to make it tight and leave it for several hours to cure. Before removing the board, trim off the excess with a utility knife. Your channel will look like new! NOTE: This item is sold by the foot. Items that are cut to order are NOT RETURNABLE. This is a 5 Foot Door Window Channel for 1951-1955 (1st Series) Chevrolet & GMC Trucks. Used as a replacement channel for 1932 & earlier Chevrolet passenger cars that originally used rubber window channel. Not an original part for that application, but a great replacement for street rods. This channel has no stainless beaded edge trim.
