This glove box is for 1939 Chevrolet passenger cars that are running aftermarket air conditioning. Replaces GM# 4089940 So, you've got your big V-8, tilt wheel, power steering and air conditioning in your 1939 Coupe. All the hard work has been done and you're down to the details. The glove box is too big to clear the A/C unit, so you plan to do without. WAIT! We have a solution - a new reproduction glove box cardboard is now available for your car. The box is made by the same supplier that makes our factory replacement glove boxes, but they are made about 5-1/2" shorter to allow for clearance behind, where the A/C unit lives. Now you can have the best of both worlds - Air Conditioning AND a Glove Box too! These boxes are made with factory type cardboard and have a felt lining inside, just like the big ones do.

This glove box light assembly fits 1941-1954 Chevrolet & GMC cars & trucks. Each unit comes with the light and wiring, as well as the necessary mounting bracket and screws. This assembly comes with a 12 volt bulb but can be used with a 6 volt system by changing the bulb.
