The lens has 39 Super Bright RED LEDs and is epoxy coated with fully sealed electronics. It has a solid state circuit board that is designed at 7.7 - 14.0 VDC. It has a die cast chrome plated bezel and mounts to a flat surface with 2 small studs.

This is a CHROME Taillight Housing for all 1931-1932 Chevrolet passenger cars and can be used on trucks. The bucket is chrome. Order rim, lens and lighting separately. This unit is set up for our LED Conversion Card in either 6-volt or 12-volt. Our reproduction is truly show quality and actually fits together (unlike other units on the market). This light is high quality and with a fit to match the original. Replaces GM# 363149 We offer the correct original plastic lens with Chevy Bowtie emblem - BA-20P. Also available is a plain glass replacement lens - BA-20. We do not recommend the glass lens as the fit is not good, but it is an economy option. Just be aware that fit issues with glass lenses exist. Consider the very popular LED conversion for this tail light. It is available in both 6-volt or 12-volt versions. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: This tail light bucket uses a modern socket assembly that is different from the original setup. On original 6-volt systems, using #1129 stop light, the bulb will be too close to the lens and may damage original plastic lenses. To prevent this, simply bend the stop light socket downward about 20-25 degrees. In order to install bulbs, you must remove the screw holding the sockets in place. Do this after bending the stop light socket. After installing bulbs, check for fit. The stop light bulb will be against the housing, but this will not be a problem. You should end up with about 1/2" clearance between the bulb and the lens. This is only critical when using the original plastic lenses. The license light bulb installs like the original. First, install the small rubber grommet around the round opening. The stop light bulb should press against this grommet. If you are installing glass lenses on this bucket, be aware that these tail lights (just like the originals) were designed for a plastic lens. The additional thickness may require longer screws for installation. Please Note: Use of a glass lens with this tail light will create fit problems with the lens, tail light rim and bucket. Plastic lenses are recommended with this application.

This is the tail light rim (or bezel) for 1931 & 1931 Chevrolet cars & trucks. This rim is chrome plated and ready to install. It has the Bowtie cut out in the center as was original in these years. See also BA-20P plastic tail light lens.

This is a Plastic Jewel Blue Dot Lens Kit with Chrome Bezels. Requires drilling a hole in your tail light lens to install.

This glass lens is a replacement for the original plastic lens that was used on all 1931 & 1932 Chevrolet passenger cars and 1931-1935 Chevy trucks. It comes with a blue dot installed. Be aware that blue dots will not work with LED lights. Please note: The original tail light assemblies were not designed for glass lenses. Glass will not fit the bucket as well as original plastic lenses. We do not recommend these lenses but offer them for those that want blue dot lenses.
