Door Weatherstrip
In 1955, used on 1st Series Trucks only. Over the years we have found that two different thicknesses of door weatherstrip are required for 1947-1955 (1st Series) Chevy & GMC trucks. We offer two different thicknesses to allow for loose or tight fitting door gaps. This door edge weatherstrip is a high quality textured sponge rubber. Similar to 70-331 but with a taller 11/16" height compared to 70-331 which is 1/2" tall. Use this seal if your door clearances require a heavier seal. Use 70-331 if you have tighter door clearances. NOTE: This item is sold by the foot. Items that are cut to order are NOT RETURNABLE. Please insure this item is what you need BEFORE ordering.

Similar to C-145 but with a shallower 1/2" height compared to C-145 which is 11/16" tall. Use this seal if your door clearances are tight. Use C-145 if you have larger door clearances. This kit is a complete door weatherstrip kit for both doors on 1949 (late)-1955 (1st Series) Chevrolet & GMC trucks. This kit comes with the THINNER profile door weatherstrip 70-331. Kit includes: Door seals 28 ft. of thinner profile door weatherstrip 70-331, 1pr. cab step seals CV-313 and 1pr. cab windlace CV-30 for both sides (this windlace mounts into spot welded channel around the door opening inside the cab). 1949 was a transition year for the cab step seal and cab windlace. Compare to your originals before ordering. Over the years we have found that two different thicknesses of door edge weatherstrip are required for 1947-1955 (1st Series) Chevy & GMC trucks. We offer two different thicknesses to allow for loose or tight fitting door gaps. This door edge weatherstrip is a high quality textured sponge rubber. C-145 is the taller 11/16" height compared to 70-331 which is 1/2" tall. Use the K-124 kit if your door clearances require a heavier seal. Use K-124T if you have tighter door clearances and require thinner door edge weatherstrip. Don't know how to tell if you need thicker or thinner? Use some clay or putty pressed into the door edge where the weatherstrip will mount. Close the door and measure the thickness of the putty. Keep in mind that each door has 14 feet of weatherstrip and the pressure to close the door is increased exponentially as the weatherstrip gets thicker .
