This is a Spare Tire Side Mount Carrier Reinforcement Grommet for 1929-1933 Chevrolet cars & trucks. This grommet is mounted on the side of the cowl and holds the brace rod as it enters the cowl to the firewall bracket. It is subjected to constant vibration and therefore has a heavy brass core as reinforcement. This is a beautifully molded rubber piece, exactly like the original. Made in the USA!
