This Pitman Arm Bushing has a Steel Core as original and fits 1939-1948 Chevrolet passenger cars with independent suspension. FOUR REQUIRED PER VEHICLE. Replaces GM# 599643. Top Quality - Made in the USA by Steele Rubber Products! Looseness in steering is often due to failed pitman arm bushings. Check the joint where the pitman arm goes down to the tie rod. This joint has two bolts that hold the four pitman arm bushings in place. Any sideways movement in these arms, while turning the steering wheel, would indicate bad bushings. These bushings are very easy to replace and vital to the proper steering for these cars. NOTE: 1939 straight axle car models (JB) used a larger bushing and only two per car. This item is not reproduced, however, we can sometimes find old stock of this bushing. Contact us to see what is available for this design.

Attaches to front cross member by carrot retainer. 1939: All passenger (except SDL) 1940: All passenger & KH-Sed Del 1941: All passenger (including SDL) Note: Production in '39 '40 & '41 was fitted with 60-93 bumper on front frame crossmember aimed downward. In mid '41 the bumper was changed to lower crossmember aimed upward with holes used for 60-93 plugged. Some '39 '40 & '41's were retrofitted with CV-103 so you may have either.
