Power Steering Pitman Arm Standard Stock Height for 1947-59 Chevrolet 1/2 Ton Trucks. This pitman arm is made to factory GM specs. Replacing a worn pitman arm will help reduce play in the steering system. This pitman arm is required for FS-647 Basic Power Steering Kits. Use on stock height pickups. See FS-654B for lowered pickups.

This basic conversion kit for power steering fits 1947-1959 Chevrolet 2WD pickups. Kit has the basic pieces needed to add power steering to your stock suspension on Chevy trucks. Kit will allow the use of a 1969-1987 Chevy 2WD pickup power steering box or 500 Series power steering box. Kit also requires use of a special 4" pitman arm FS-654A or FS-654B (sold separately)

This power steering conversion kit fits 1947-1955 (1st Series) Chevrolet trucks. This kit comes with a new 400 Series power steering box ready to bolt to your frame. Included in this kit are: V-8 power steering pump & brackets, power steering box & bracket, power steering pitman arm, hoses and hardware. Specify if truck is stock height or lowered suspension. Also specify standard or quick ratio steering.

In 1955, used on 2nd series only. Kit comes with V8 power steering pump and brackets, gearbox and conversion kit, power steering pitman arm, hoses and hardware. Steering ratios available are Stock = 4-1/2 turns, lock to lock OR Sport ratio of 3-1/2 turns, lock to lock.

This system is great for the purist. It bolts to the existing steering system and clears all of the factory components. This will allow the use of factory steering columns and allow for a stock look without having to suffer with manual steering. Kit includes power cylinder, drag link, heavy duty tie rod, new style tie rod ends, rebuilt control valve assembly, hoses and all necessary mounting hardware. Requires modification to the original pitman arm. Power steering pump not included. Note: 6 cyl. applications require fabrication.
