This steering column upper mast jacket bushing fits most 1929-1940 Chevrolet cars & trucks. It is a huge improvement over the original bushing and comes with a nylon bearing surface for better operation. The manufacturer uses a modern polyurethane elastomer technology to produce a bushing of the highest quality. The part duplicates the design of the original part with the added benefit of improved materials. The urethane rubber is the correct hardness to permit relatively easy installation. It is tough enough to withstand harsh treatment and has sufficient strength and dimensions to remain in place. The original micorda bushing surface has been replaced with bushing grade nylon to provide long wear and low resistance. The black fabric coated wire is securely soldered to the stamped brass contact plate, as original. The GM style twist-lock connector is not supplied. Reuse your original connector or order part number RW-40 separately. Dimensions: Bushing OD: 1.435", Height: 1.165", ID: .754". Wire length: 55" OL.
