CHEVROLET 1947-1954 PICKUP HEIDTS SUPERIDE II SUSPENSION

The SUPERIDE II IFS System uses Heidt's famous Mustang II dropped spindle to allow for a front mount rack & pinion unit, to ease motor installation. It uses a geometry design very similar to the Mustang II, which works well on the fat fender cars. The upper control arms use threaded adjusters for the wheel alignment. These threaded adjusters, unlike eccentric adjusters, will never "slip" and lose alignment no matter how big a bump you hit. "Smooth" describes the ride: very low and highly steerable with no bump-steer and built-in anti-dive. Installing the 3-piece cross member is an easy one-step operation. Combined with detailed instructions your installation will be as smooth as your ride. Kit includes main cross member T.l.G. welded for maximum strength and great looks, Heidt's exclusive one piece dropped Mustang II spindles, adjustable tubular arms, 11" disc brake vented rotors, adjustable coil-over shocks with chrome springs, front-mount rack & pinion steering, stainless steel adjusters with urethane bushings, factory ball joints and tie rod ends. This item is oversized and will require special freight charges. SPECIFY WHETHER THE MOTOR IS SBC OR BBC, AND IF THE HEADS ARE ALUMINUM OR IRON.

These Mustang II cross members are manufactured by Heidt's Hot Rod Shop, Inc. for specific applications. These cross member kits are designed for frames and fenders which lend themselves nicely to Mustang front end conversions, without changing the critical geometry. These kits also come complete with the hard-to-make special brackets, such as radiator perches on certain models, to quickly and easily complete the installation. And naturally, the Chevy kits do not bump steer at all. All kits come with a step-by-step, fully illustrated instruction booklet to insure that your installation goes as easy as it should! Oversize item - special freight charges will apply.
