This is a Door Latch Lock Bolt Return Spring for 1941-1948 Chevrolet passenger cars. This spring pushes the locking bolt back out of the latch to insure the door stays closed. This is a NORS (New Old Replacement Stock) item - Limited Supply. Replaces GM# 4147585
