1950-1963 Carburetor Base Insulator for Chevrolet & GMC cars & trucks. This hard block goes between the carburetor base and the intake manifold as a heat shield. Often times these are cracked and can cause the same symptoms as an intake manifold leak. Check yours anytime you remove the carburetor. Bolt hole centers are 3". Center hole is 1-3/4. Replaces GM# 3692799
