This is a 6-Volt Fuel Gauge with in the dash for 1947-1951 GMC trucks. It is correct for GMC Trucks, but will fit Chevy truck. Color of face is different than Chevy. Needle is Red. Replaces GM# 1517015. THIS IS A NEGATIVE GROUND GAUGE.
NOTE: Before installing into vehicle, check that the fuel gauge is well grounded to the housing on the back side. Add solder to the back side to insure good contact. Electronic gauges must have a good ground to operate properly.
