This two-part connector is used in many applications in early GM cars & trucks. This OEM style part is required in locations where it is necessary to disconnect a component from the wiring harness. One example would be on early steering columns that have horn wire connections. When removing the steering column from the chassis, this unit disconnects the column wiring from the main harness to facilitate removal of the steering column.
