Drive Shaft Bushings
CHEVROLET 1937-39 PASS & PU TORQUE TUBE BUSHING & SEAL
This is a Replacement Oakie Bushing for 1937-1939 Chevrolet Passenger Cars & Trucks (exc. Utility). This unit replaces the front & rear bushings in the torque tube and also the seal. This bushing and seal unit is designed to press fit into the torque tube for a permanent repair. Replaces GM# 609929, 609930, 595005, 595007 A worn drive shaft bushing causes annoying vibration and excessive wear to the drive shaft and universal joint. A worn seal permits the transmission fluid to drain back to the rear axle - overfilling the differential and causing the transmission to run dry. See also FS-125 U-joint gasket. Remove old front bushing and drive in new assembly. This bushing and seal assembly replaces both front and rear torque tube bushings and the drive shaft seal!
