CHEVROLET 1947-1955 TRUCK RAINGEAR WIPER SYSTEM - STD
In 1955, used on 1st Series only. DO NOT USE WITH IN-DASH RADIO. This kit completely replaces the factory vacuum wiper system. It comes with a 12 volt, ten amp, two-speed electric motor. Complete with bracketing, linkage arms, wiper transmissions, wiring and switch. Designed to fit neatly under the dash. Order this kit if you want standard two-speed wiper operation. Also available is the same kit with wiper delay switch - see PA-33D. Use with your original wiper arms, blades & chrome trim. A top quality product Made in the USA! The RainGear system will fit all 1947 to 1954 Chevrolet and GMC trucks with the following exceptions: On 1954 trucks only, the stock defroster ducts will not clear our system. When installing our system into a 54 either use the ducts from a 47-53 truck or ducts from one of the aftermarket A/C system suppliers. Original radios in the upper dash board mount location will not clear our system. We have one report of an aftermarket radio interfering as well. Cross-mount master cylinders likely wont fit with our RainGear system installed. The kit comes complete less assembly lube, arms and blades, escutcheons and model-specific knobs for the switch. All those stock pieces will fit on our system. Escutcheons are the exterior trim bezels which cover the pivot posts in the cowl. Please note that the RainGear unit cannot be controlled by any General Motors column-mounted wiper switches. You must use the included switch. This is due to the fact that GM switches control the wiper motor via the ground wire and our systems must be controlled by switching the positive wire.

This is a universal 6-VOLT Windshield Wiper Motor with Stainless Housing - NO SWITCH. This motor requires an external control switch to operate. The kit comes with an adjustable length SLOTTED Adjustable Wiper Arm that is 7-1/4" to 8-1/2" long from the pivot attachment. Slot Style Wiper blade included in the kit is 8" long. In 1955, fits 1st Series only. This high quality electric replacement is a direct bolt - in for your original vacuum motor. A big improvement over the motors that were previously available - this motor is a 2-speed heavy duty motor. It also has an automatic park position and uses the original wiper linkages and transmissions. Can be installed in less than an hour! Complete with wiring harness. Note: If you are using original wiper transmission linkage with this motor, you must remove the bushing in the end of the transmission linkage and use the nylon bushings included with the wiper motor kit.
