This fan belt pulley is needed when installing an alternator on Chevrolet & GMC engines that originally had a wide fan belt. This would include all engines prior to 1953. The pulley must be changed on the alternator to match the wider belt pulleys on the crankshaft and water pump. Because this pulley diameter is smaller, a shorter fan belt may be necessary. Pulley Dimensions: 3/8 to 3/4" WIDE - V; 43/64" shaft; 2-7/16 overall pulley diameter.

This is a universal electronic diode type replacement cut out switch. It will work on 6, 12 or 24 volt systems. The diode eliminates early style contact points which can often stick and fry the electrical system. NOTE: When hooking up this electronic generator cut-out on a Negative Ground system, the Plus side goes to the battery. A good substitute for a new cut out switch is to have us rebuild your original cut out and convert it to a diode. This is a rebuilding service only and you must send us your original cut out to be rebuilt. See RW-396.
