CHEVROLET 1932-67 6CYL UNIVERSAL CARBURETOR - CLASSIC
Use this carburetor for Universal 6-Cylinder Applications. Best suited as a replacement for the factory Carter or Rochester 1bbl carburetors. If you are running custom Dual or Triple carburetors, see AF-647 Universal Carburetor. This universal, high-quality carburetor is made especially to replace factory 6 cyl engine 1bbl carburetors. This assembly fits most 4 and 6 cylinder American built engines from 1932 thru 1967. Some applications may require a different air filter than factory stock. This piece features adjustable high speed main jet, adjustable throttle lever, manual choke, and bolts right on with no modifications. Includes mounting gasket and filter. NOTE: This is a Universal carburetor and as such, modifications to fuel lines, linkage and other parts may be necessary for installation.

Use this carburetor for Universal 6-cylinder applications. Best suited for Dual or Triple Carburetor setups but will work for stock applications as well. See also AF-747 for Stock Applications. This adjustable carburetor is available to fit US standard 1bbl/barrel bolt patterns. These high quality NEW carburetors feature a fully adjustable external high speed main jet, along with adjustable throttle levers, so you can quickly change the high speed jetting and throttle arm setup. Ideal for fine tuning any application for air/fuel mixture on the high speed circuit. Especially ideal for use on multiple carburetor systems. This universal carburetor is made from modern Zinc alloy and aluminum castings, and contain ethanol resistant internal parts, to help last longer with modern fuels. Fits most any automotive or industrial application from the early 1930s to modern day. This carburetor is only available with a manual choke. NOTE: This is a Universal carburetor and as such, modifications to fuel lines, linkage and other parts may be necessary for installation.

This carburetor rebuilding kit is for all 1932-1948 Chevrolet cars & trucks with original Carter W-1 carburetors with flat shaft accelerator pumps. Fits Carter carburetor #'s: 438 - 492 - 515 - 570 - 569 - 574 - 616. FLAT SHAFT ACCELERATOR PUMPS ONLY. The accelerator pump in these carburetors is has a fixed boot on a flat shaft. Replaces GM# 609989, 609990, 609991, 609992, 609993 NOTE: Carter carburetors in these years are easily changed and it is likely that the carburetor on your vehicle has been changed from the original. To determine if your carburetor has a Flat Shaft or Round Shaft accelerator pump - Remove the sheet metal cover on top that is held with a single slotted machine screw. Once the cover is removed, the accelerator pump shaft is visible. It is the shaft that moves up and down as you operate the throttle shaft. Check to see which accelerator pump shaft is on your carburetor before ordering this kit.
