This hubcap fits 1934-1936 Standard Chevrolet passenger cars with 5-lug wheels. This wire wheel hubcap was made from all new tooling. The hubcap has a steel back with stainless skin, blue painted Bow-tie with black painted trim band. Licensed by General Motors.

Dimensions: 6-3/4" OD where it fits into the wheel and 7-3/4" OD overall. This hubcap has spring clips on it to hold it in place on the wheel. Will not fit on wheels that have spring clips on the wheel centers. NOT FOR ARTILLERY WHEELS. Replaces GM# 376778

Some history on the Standard Series by Jim Carter:
During the Great Depression, Chevrolet dealers in the US and Canada were having difficulty staying in business. Fewer new cars and trucks were sold and dealers were surviving mostly on repairs and selling used vehicles. To try and slow dealer bankruptcies, Chevrolet offered a less expensive car to their dealers. It was called the Chevrolet "Standard". So many little things were "detuned" to lower the price. One item that is almost impossible to find in today's world is the Standard's 5-bolt wire wheel hub cap. It is not correct for the 6-bolt wire wheel on the Master car and 1/2 ton pickup.

Except for the different diameter, the Standard has one black ring and the Master and 1/2 ton have two unpainted rings.

The Standard and Master hub caps look much the same at a distance but up close and side by side one will see a small difference, especially the diameter. The Standard has a diameter of 7-3/4" and the full size Master is 9".

Now for the Surprise:
This is probably the only part for "car only" that Jim Carter Truck Parts will reproduce. It is NOW available for wire wheels for so many Standard Car owners that have poor or no hub caps.

Approved by General Motors for quality and authenticity. Correct for the Chevrolet "Standard" car with original 17" five hole wire wheels, 1934-1936.
