EC-490 is a drop spindle support the part that holds the spindle, not the spindle itself.
By modifying this part, it drops the height of the car without modification to the spindle itself. No other modifications are required, but our supplier does recommend that you replace the fixed (long) tie rod with an adjustable type to allow for better front end alignment. This is our part number FS-124R. 1949-52 Overall Drop - 2-1/4 inches. 1953-54 Overall Drop - 1-1/2 inches. This is an exchange service only. If no core is exchanged, there will be a $100.00 core charge added.
