This is a high speed ring & pinion gear set for 1940-1953 Chevrolet 1/2 ton trucks. Gear sets are a direct replacement for your original differential gears. These gears will give a 3.55:1 gear ratio to install into the original stock differential housing. A 3.55:1 ratio will give your truck the ability to cruise at freeway speeds without major modifications to the drive train of the vehicle. The pinion gear has 11 teeth and the ring gear has 39 teeth. Replaces GM# 3705439, 3652510, 3704461
Also available is a gear installation kit, which is sold separately.

1940-1953 1/2 Ton Trucks;
1954 1/2 Ton Trucks (Must use 1940-1953 Torque Tube Housing)
NOTE: This gear set can be used on 1954 pickups if installed in a 1940-53 pickup differential housing.
