This is the 1930-1932 Chevrolet passenger car & 1930-1934 Chevy 1/2 ton hubcap with Bowtie emblem. These fit original wire wheels only. Chrome plated over brass. The steel backing where it fits into wheel has an ID of 5-3/4" (14.6 cm) and the overall OD is 6-1/2" (16.5 cm). Sold individually with a price break if you buy a set of 4. Replaces GM #358508. Don't forget to order one for the spare tire(s)!
In 1930 Chevrolet had two different hubcaps. On the solid disc rims or wood wheels they had a small diameter aluminum cap that screwed directly onto the wheel hub. For 1930 wood spoke wheels, see RW-690. The wire wheel was first introduced as standard equipment in 1930. For this new wheel a newly designed hubcap was made.
The Filling Station reproduction of the wire wheel hubcap is an exact copy of the original. It has a steel backing with spring clip retainers to hold it solidly on the wheel. The front face is a stamped brass skin crimped over the steel back, just like the factory made them. The skin is chrome plated and the Bowtie and trim recess band are painted black, as original. There are other hubcaps on the market but ours actually fits like the originals. We are very proud to offer these to our customers.
