This is a faithful copy of the factory accessory GM Telescoping License Plate Frame used in the late 1940's & 1950's. This clever setup will fit any size license plate. Tubular chrome sections have a slit that will slide over the edge of the license plate and slide together to trim out the edge perfectly! Eight piece set will trim out one license plate. Maximum plate dimensions: 16-1/2" x 9". Replaces GM# 986708
