The backing where it fits into wheel has an OD of 5-3/4" and the overall OD is 6-1/2". Sold individually with a price break if you buy a set of 4. Don't forget to order one for the spare tire(s)! In 1930 Chevrolet had two different hubcaps. On the solid disc rims or wood wheels they had a small diameter aluminum cap that screwed directly onto the wheel hub. For 1930 wood spoked wheels, see RW-690. The wire wheel was first introduced as standard equipment in 1930. For this new wheel a newly designed hubcap was made. The Filling Station reproduction of the wire wheel hubcap is an exact copy of the original. It has a steel backing with spring clip retainers to hold it solidly on the wheel. The front face is a stamped brass skin crimped over the steel back, just like the factory made them. The skin is triple chrome plated and the Bowtie and trim recess band are painted black, as original.

They have a fine thread opening of 2-5/8" and are 2 inches tall. They were covered in grease and have been cleaned in a hot tank. Some of the original plating can be seen. The script is raised up on these hubcaps. These are extremely rare and being sold in a pair.
