This is a New Old Replacement Stock (NORS) U-Joint Assembly for 1940-1948 Chevrolet cars & trucks with 3-speed transmission. The assembly includes the front yoke, rear yoke and trunnion in between. Replaces GM# 606779. LIMITED SUPPLY ITEM - availability is subject to stock on hand.
Front yoke speedo gear surface OD is 1.375" 10-Spline; Rear yoke is 17 Spline OD is 1.341"
When replacing the U-joint, it is recommended that you also replace the ball housing and retainer gaskets. Use our part number FS-125. Also advised is to check the torque tube bushings and rear transmission bushing for wear.
NOTE: The trunnion and rear yoke are the same on 1940-1954 passenger & 1/2 ton trucks.
