This is a NORS (New Old Replacement Stock) Universal Joint Assembly for all 1940-1954 Chevrolet cars & 1/2 ton trucks with 3-speed transmissions. Dimensions: Front yoke speedo gear surface OD is 1.435" 10-Spline; Rear yoke is 17 Spline OD is 1.341". Replaces GM# 606779, 591642, 591644, 3665768. LIMITED SUPPLY ITEM - availability is subject to stock on hand.
When replacing the U-joint, it is recommended that you also replace the ball housing and retainer gaskets. Use our part number FS-125. Also advised is to check the torque tube bushings and rear transmission bushing for wear. NOTE: Trunnion and rear yoke are the same on all 1940-1954 passenger cars & 1/2 ton trucks. Front yoke is 3-Speed Only.
